MedWisdom Inc., a Buffalo-based healthcare software and services company, today announced the acquisition of Techium, an information technology (IT) services company. The combination of these two entities has resulted in the formation of TenEleven Group, Inc.
"We acquired Techium in order to offer our customers, and the marketplace, a complete, turnkey business solution," said Alex Alexander, Chief Executive Officer of the new TenEleven Group. "We understood early in the game that many of our customers needed the information technology component to successfully manage their client data, comply with government regulatory requirements and streamline their business applications."
As the name implies, TenEleven consistently exceeds expectations and is always on the cutting edge of technology. The name also refers to the number of neurons in the human brain, 100,000,000,000 (or 1011), reflecting the company's commitment to both innovation and creativity in solving business challenges.
TenEleven Group will go to market through industry-focused strategic business units (SBUs) as follows: MedWisdom will continue to focus on the healthcare market; ChiroWisdom will continue to focus on the chiropractic market; TechWisdom (formerly Techium) will focus on IT services for all industries; and newly formed DataWisdom will focus on the option of delivering all TenEleven Group software in a software as a service (SaaS) format, as well as hosting services for its customers via its new state-of-the-art computer data center.
"The increasing demands of regulatory agencies, healthcare insurance companies and patients require today's physician practices to have quality systems and services that provide quick, reliable information at our fingertips," said Linda Baldi-Perry, Administrator for the Plastic Surgery practice of Robert J. Perry, MD, FACS, and owner of Spa Niagara, a medical spa in Niagara Falls, NY, who has been a client of both companies before the merger. "MedWisdom and Techium have continually provided the kind of products and services that consistently meet the needs of my practice and my patients."
In addition, chiropractors turn to ChiroWisdom for feature-rich and innovative software and services specifically designed for their needs and offered in a cost-effective SaaS environment. ChiroWisdom software is endorsed by Prism Health Networks, a third-party administrator in New York State.
The creation of DataWisdom allows TenEleven Group to provide hosting services or SaaS for companies in a state-of-the-art secure data center, capable of housing and managing client information systems.
"Data and server hosting can be crucial to larger practices and organizations managing important information, with no on-site IT person," said Ryan Erwin, Chief Technology Officer of the new TenEleven Group.
MedWisdom provides healthcare software and services for physician group practices, health and human services clinics and organizations, as well as third-party outsourced medical billing organizations. While MedWisdom opened its doors in 2000, the medical practice software has successfully provided support to the healthcare industry since 1994.
TechWisdom, formerly Techium, Inc., is an information technology unit with expertise in computer hardware, network integration and IT support services. TechWisdom provides services to healthcare companies in support of the MedWisdom product line, as well as a plethora of software products supporting many other industries outside of healthcare.
